We Welcome You To Troop 650!

Welcome to a new scouting year at Troop 650! We have many exciting things planned for the year including campouts, popcorn sales, BBQ sales, and other things that will give your boy some scouting skills. As of February, Rob Murphy has taken over as our new scout master, so let's make him feel welcome for his first full year with Troop 650. Remember, meeting times are now taking place at 7:00 and are held at Pinewood Presbyterian Church, 198 Knight Box Road, Middleburg, Florida. We look forward to having you in our troop.

For those who need to fill out a new health form, click on the appropriate attachment. Remember, for those who are just going on a weekend Boy Scout activity, you only need to fill out parts A and B. If you're going to summer camp, you also need to fill out part C which will require a health professional signature. Your health records are valid for one year. Not sure if your health record is up to date? Go to Troop Roster and click on your name to see the date of your health record on file with the troop.

Popcorn Fundraiser Canceled

No adult has stepped forward to volunteer as the Troop Popcorn Coordinator for this year's scout fundraiser. As such, the troop will not be participating in this North Florida Council event.

Our troop is in need of merit badge counselors. The merit badge counselor is a key player in the Boy Scout advancement program. If you are an adult leader, or a parent of a scout in our troop, we could use your help. Whatever your area of expertise or interest—whether it is a special craft or hobby (basketry, leatherwork, coin collecting), a profession (veterinary medicine, aviation, engineering), or perhaps a life skill (cooking, personal management, communications)—as a merit badge counselor, you can play a vital role in stirring a young man's curiosity about that particular topic. All of you are an expert in at least one thing, and I'm sure many of you have hobbies you excel in. Please look at signing up as a merit badge counselor. There is no fee for this. By serving as a merit badge counselor, you offer your time, knowledge, and other resources so that Scouts can explore a topic of interest.
